If you use your Apple iPod to download music from your home PC or Mac Computer, then you know that the iPod is a great way to take thousands of songs with you to listen to during your gym workout, a long bus ride, or an airport layover. But listening to your iPod while you are driving your car can prove to be a challenging experience.
The Harman Kardon Drive + Play provides an easy way to connect iPods to your car stereo, so you can take your library of songs with you while you are on the road. This usit gives you two ways to play your iPod through your stereo - you can either use the Drive + Play's built in FM transmitter to play your iPod through an open FM station, or you can plug the unit into your stereo's auxillary port, if one is available.
The Drive + Play includes an LCD display that mounts on your dashboard - this display is connected to a swivel base, so it is easy to position this part of the unit so you can see what is playing, or easily control the music on your iPod.
It also features a control knob, which you can mount anywhere that is convenient for you. The easiest way to determine where to mount the control unit is to notice where your right hand rests while you are driving, and then mount the control knob as close as possible to that place.
While not exactly easy to install (professional installation is recommended for most users), the Drive + play is an intuitive accessory that can help you get the most out of your Apple iPod.
